Kinesiotaping

fala2

More than 30 years ago japanese doctor Kenzo Kase developed the kinesio taping method and a new self-adhesive-tape. The special tape is breathable, latex-free, skin-friendly, highly elastic, and wearable for days at time. It has the thickness, weight, and similar elasticity as human skin. Kinesio tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

The Kinesio Taping Method is a definitive rehabilitive technique that is used mostly in sport therapy to prolong the benefits of other therapies being used for the patient.

Professionally applied tape based on correct anamnesis and movement examination is an essence of the therapeutic success. There is more than one applicaton method, meaning the muscles, tendons, fascia, scars or organs are taped in a unique way for each treatment.

Kinesio tape has the ability to:

  • assist in returning the body to homeostasis
  • prevent injury
  • stimulate muscle tension
  • stabilize joints
  • reduce pain and inflamation
  • promote good circulation and metabolic prosesses in injuried tissue
  • improve lymph flow in tissues (reduces lymph edema)
  • re-educate the neuromuscular system
  • optimize performance

Indictions:

  • back pain
  • muscle injuries (strains, hypertensions, bruises)
  • shoulder problems
  • injuries of the joints (band tear, instability, arthrosis)
  • muscle, tendon, and ligament strain
  • headaches and migraines
  • edema
  • and more
